The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association want to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20% while reducing deaths from cardiovascular disease and stroke by 20% by the year 2020. That means saving 863 lives each day! We’ll share information and life-saving messages throughout the next year to help reach these goals.
Eighty percent of risk factors for cardiovascular diseases are preventable by making healthy choices like eating right, exercising and not smoking. We’ll help!
Here’s our message this month:
What’s the No. 1 killer of women? Cardiovascular disease. Every 80 seconds, a woman in the United States loses her battle with it. It’s more deadly than every form of cancer combined.
