Frank has worked in all aspects of radio for over 30 years including news, sports, live remotes, and sales.
He believes that to be in this business you have to have fun in order to do it. That's been his philosophy the entire time and that's why he’s still in it. Frank interned at KQWC in Webster City, IA during college, while studying radio broadcasting, and got his first job as the news/sports director at KMCH in Manchester, IA in 1991. He returned to the "Q" in '92 to host afternoon drive time and broadcast regional play by play for 11 area schools.
After Frank, his wife Kim, and two daughters moved to Cedar Rapids in 1996 he was out of radio for three years, but then landed a part time job at WMT-AM after missing radio. He did many things there including the Saturday morning shift and produced for Leo Greco's Variety Time from 2007 to 2011 until Leo passed away. After that he hosted the show until it ended in February of 2018. He was the longest lasting part timer at WMT by being there for 21 years.
He also has a passion for video production and television and has fun doing that too when he helps out with live broadcast productions on KCRG 9.2. He's usually running a camera during sporting events or running audio in the production truck, so if you see him tell him hello.
Frank joined KMRY in February of 2020 to provide live play-by-play sports coverage with KMRY's expanded sports programming. He loves all music as well, so don't forget to join him Saturday nights at 7pm as he hosts the 50's and 60's show, "Jukebox Rewind LIVE"!
A native of Alden, Iowa...Frank lives in Marion with his wife Kim, their cat Beans, and their dog Buddy. His two daughters live outside the state, one in Oklahoma and the other in Arizona.
