Scot Hughes has been the voice of high school football on Classic KMRY since 2010.
He’s branched out into calling play-by-play for college and high school baseball and softball since 2021, and can also be heard occasionally as a fill-in air personality at the station.
Prior to a 27-year career as an air traffic controller, Scot worked on-air at KMCD in Fairfield, KXJX in Pella, KOTM in Ottumwa, and KROC in Rochester, Minnesota.
You might also catch him onstage at area theatre productions, where he’s appeared in shows in Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Coralville, and Marion since 1997.
Scot and his wife Marcia live in Cedar Rapids, and are very proud of their two grown children and two of the cutest grandkids ever.
